To an extent I agree. But I certainly don't forget the classics.

I'm always discovering 'new' 80's movies that i didn't know about.

I like new movies. Some are great and fun. But you have to remember where they came from.

I didn't realise that Stand by Me was a Stephen King book

Usually the great films are from a book
 
Just watched Northern Soul. I would have been a bit too young to get involved in that at the time and, as I remember, I really hated the music when it was on Top of the pops anyway. Really liked the film though. I remember when cars, clothes, houses looked like that and everybody bought records.

One of their latest films, The Tale of Princess Kayuga, is currently showing in the UK. Deffo worth a watch, it's boss.
