This isn't exactly a spoiler alert, but there is a point in the movie where it creatively changes course. Where it goes from a thriller to a slapstick slasher. If you know what I mean...
I get what you mean & it was a bit OTT, but I enjoyed the film/Ms pike anyhow.

Definitely. Prometheus even more I'd say, thinking about it.
I dunno mate...I don't find Wes Anderson film necessarily hilarious (even if they have their moments)...it's more like an eyegasm of cinematography with clever deadpan comedy. I find myself smiling throughout his films.
But hey, ho...I thought Life Aquatic was good.

And also Moonrise Kingdom I really enjoyed.
Wes Anderson is a bit marmite for some people. But at least you know you're always gonna get top notch actors playing ridiculous parts. And who doesn't like Bill Murray?
