Last Film You Watched

I watched 'I Swear' last night.

What a film, hilarious at times and incredibly sad at others. Some will say laughing at tourettes is wrong but even the main character comments that he finds some of the things he says are funny.

It certainly does its work on enlightening people to the difficulties tourettes sufferers face and how society treated them in the 80s and 90s.

Worth an hour and a half of anybody's time.

Completely agree. A film of genuine quality that allows all emotions.

His reaction at his medal presentation ceremony had me in stitches.

Some wonderful acting too.

Peaky Blinders movie.

It put up a good argument to compete with Sausage Party for the worst film Ive ever seen.

Watched it today, and deeply disappointing.

Ludicrous plot, with uniformed Nazi soldiers working in the Liverpool docks.

Barry Keoghan, a young actor I like, gives a performance so restrained as to be nearly invisible.

Just finished watching High-Rise again:

Watched this movie when it first came out about a decade ago, and in the last 2/3 weeks I’ve been having flashes of scenes from the film, but for the life of me, I couldn’t remember the name of the movie, or the director, or the names of any of the actors on it…

It’s been driving me absolutely bonkers trying to remember anything about it!

Eventually I remembered Jeremy Irons was it… 🙄

Remember this being weird and awful.

You?

Been laid up with a dose the last couple of days so thought I'd throw on a few movies.

Weapons (2025)
Over 90% on RT, loads of glowing reviews on Reddit etc, personally one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Frankenstein (2025)
Looks fantastic but utterly boring.
I hear you on Frankenstein. Beautiful movie, Oscar Issac wasn't bad, just kind of blah script though

Weapons - can't agree with you here. Was fantastic for what it was

Just been to see Project Hail Mary and I really liked it. Gosling is very good. I thought it was too long though. Could have definitely shaved some time off it and still achieved the same thing.

Also I saw it in IMAX which added to it, don’t think I’d have enjoyed it as much on a small screen.
That's a shame as that was one of my problems with the book.
