Last Film You Watched

Just been to see Project Hail Mary and I really liked it. Gosling is very good. I thought it was too long though. Could have definitely shaved some time off it and still achieved the same thing.

Also I saw it in IMAX which added to it, don’t think I’d have enjoyed it as much on a small screen.
Is this movie a ‘much watch’ on IMAX, or can I wait until it becomes available on a streaming service, mate?

Wouldn’t say it’s a must watch on IMAX, just worth seeing it that way if you can. Lots of it takes place in quite cramped surroundings so IMAX doesn’t matter. But the scenes with wider shots in space look amazing on a big screen.

Noted mate… I have seen mixed reviews for it though.

Is it comparable to say, ‘Interstellar’? Which would you say was better?

Can I also ask, how faithful is to the book, which I loved ( if you’ve read it ? )

Other than being in space and trying to save Earth they are pretty different films. This is way more light hearted, although not a straight up comedy by any means.

I would say Interstellar is better but it depends what you’re looking for. Sci-fi going for hyperealism or a bit more of a relaxed take on it without being too silly.

Interstellar is 100% a must watch on IMAX though I would say. Seems to pop up quite a lot so if you haven’t already then definitely keep an eye out for a screening of it.

It’s a comedy version of Interstellar. Nowhere near as good IMO.
More of a comedy version of Interstellar, but not really a straight up comedy?!
So comparisons to ‘Spaceballs’ would be unwarranted, then? 🤔
