I am SO pumped to go see Deadpool 3 on Thursday.

Just caught the last hour of the remake Papillon, one of my favourite ever films.
First issue - why remake it, you can’t better it!
Second: Remi malik, who I like, trying to be Dustin Hoffman, just no mate. Play your own role -same with the other guy playing Steve mcqueens role.

I was being sentimentally generous, my love for the original carried the remake - it was poor

Just come back from MaXXXine. A lot of action and gruesome scenes. But felt there was something missing. Similar to Longlegs.

The nuns proper did Steve McQueen over in that film, and for some reason I'll always remember Hoffman breaking his leg during the escape... Still rub my shin bone whenever I think about it!

I watched The BeeKeeper last night. Equal parts ridiculous, dubious stunts and feats of strength, and super-fun. Harmless entertainment that kept me occupied. Shame that it will be ruined by becoming a tired franchise (I'm looking at you "Taken"), as as not-so-subtley alluded to at the end of the film.

Yeh, some darks scenes in that film. I watched when I was in primary school and it really stuck with me, absolutely loved it, even the dark bits.

Re-watched ‘Twister’ last night in prep for going to see ‘Twisters’ next week.

Still thought it was great, almost 30 years after its release. Not sure if it was just nostalgia or not, but really enjoyed it.

The Transporter is the worst. They couldn't even get Statham to reprise his role for the 3rd sequel. They had to go with some horrible C grade actor that no-one had even heard of.
How bad could it have been if Statham turned down another big payday?
