Ghostbusters Afterlife

I don’t know how I felt about this, some very nostalgic moments coupled with some awful writing. Paul Rudd was probably the only half decent performance (with the exception of the original trio).

Found the main girl and her ma annoying as hell.

They could have got away with this if a bit more care went into the script
 
To Live and die in LA (1985)

Never caught this one until now. It's boss... a kinetic 80's crime thriller with some great action, loads of cool actors and a violent, sleazy storyline with some snappy dialogue. The birds in it are fine as wine as well. From the director of The French Connection and the Exorcist, William Friedkin..... he hasn't made anything good since this.

That car chase though, just MEGA. It's like a Grand Theft Auto game in movie form.

 
Decided to give the last Star Wars trilogy another go this weekend (haven’t seen them since the cinema). My God they really are crap aren’t they.
Absolutely toilet. Took my (then) 6 year old nephew the cinema to see the third one and we bailed after 20 minutes as he was complaining he was bored. Tickets weren't cheap but I absolutely agreed with him. Have never felt compelled to finish it ever since
 
King didn`t like Kubricks interpretation of the book.

The reality is that both the film and the book are masterpieces and (imo ) that`s the way they should both be viewed.

Completely agree with the film, as I say I can’t comment on the book. What I’d give for the chance to backhand Dynamo and Subzero all over the shop though. I’d force Dynamo into a life of subjugation, just charging my phone for me as and when I require. The operatic twerp
