Just watched No Time To Die. Good send off for Craig but I feel like there is a ton in this movie that they just did without any real reasoning for it.

I found it completely charming - Such a throwback to the way films were presented back in the 80s - It probably gave me that feelgood vibe more than any other film since Super 8 did it 10 years ago

Worked my way through Get Back over a few days.
Very much for Beatles fans, as you should expect to see the same 4 songs played 25 times each, which isn’t for everyone.
Fascinating to watch the process though, if you like that sort of thing, and great to see their working practices and interactions.
Also a great restoration of the original 16mm film stock, it looks great, and some good work to get the original sound split out into individual tracks and re-mixed.

Just watched King Richard, good film about the Williams sisters, hate tennis myself but as sport films go its really good, possibly more about there dad but its all relevant, good film even if tennis is a sport for people not into sport!!

I often find that when revisiting old 'classics'. I think it's a consequence of the changes in film pacing over the years and not growing up with these older movies. The only kind I feel do still work well and have aged like a fine wine are Westerns.

2019 : After The Fall Of New York
Ultra low budget 1983 Italian sci-fi which is more than a little influenced by Escape From New York even down to the long haired Snake Plissken-lite lead.
Not quite Giallo but the very ropey English as second language dialogue, casting based largely on looks and gory (albeit cheap and clumsy looking) violence and incoherent plotting certainly show that director Sergio Martino was prominent in that sub-genre.
Drags a bit near the start but soon livens up and the flamboyantly costumed and made up George Eastman as "Big Ape" is well worth waiting for. A bit sci-fi Garth Marenghi.
