As soon as I said it I felt a bit mean!
I enjoyed it - just obviously not as much as some people. I really rate Denis Villeneuve though so maybe I was expecting more - Arrival turned me and the missus into blubbering wrecks in the cinema.
Just a side note - Was it common knowledge when it was released that it was episodic? I was a bit confused/slightly annoyed going to the cinema to watch what I thought was a self-contained movie only to find it was anything but.
I don’t understand what you mean: as in the film is going to be 2 parts or the series of flashbacks/flashforwards breaking up the story?

Oh, sorry yes, has always been in two parts from when the director first signed on.
They wanted to see how much of a financial success it was before giving the nod for Part 2. It was always going to happen though.
So they were 'testing it out' on paying customers?
Seems like a dick move to me - Imagine going to the cinema to watch Blade Runner and the film ending when Deckard kills Zhora?
