To read, The Sleepwalkers by Christopher Clark, totally disputes the myth that Europe just kind of stumbled into the conflict. Very detailed on the efforts of Berlin, especially, to broker peace. Can't recommend it enough.
To watch, Journey's End, I saw the 2017 remake recently and really enjoyed it. I've got a link knocking around somewhere if you're interested.
I enjoyed birdsong also. Never watched the tv adaptation so can’t comment on that.
Regeneration also
Watched Bond.
Half an hour/45 mins too long and too many moving parts for it to feel coherent. Some fantastic shots and stunts. Didn’t really like the ‘surprise’ ending. But otherwise a decent movie with good acting, great action scenes and stunts.
Over-reached for me. A solid 6/10.

Fell into a you-tube wormhole and discovered this fellow. Normally I avoid these "First time watch" videos as they seems so forced and fake, but this lad is really invested in the movies he is watching and is so young that he has most likely never actually watched great movies like this before.
Plus he's a funny guy ha ha ha ha.....

Fright Night
Awesome vampire flick from the 80s. Good fun. 7,5/10
Freaky
Some really good kills, a couple of fun moments. Both Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton were great, while the supporting cast really didn't do much for me. Wish this was made a couple of decades ago, as I feel they could've done more with the concept back then. Still a pretty solid movie.

Not a single 'important' character died or even got hurt (other than when Newton got stabbed in the beginning). Only no-name characters that no one cares about did. That's a bit of a bummer, really.
