DKR was pretty bad. Came across like Nolan was bored and sorry he had signed up for a trilogy and wanted to get it over with. Very disappointing after the excellent first two
it’s beautiful, no wait.... that’s Anne Hathaway. Anyway, the films boss. After my 7 hour marathon over 2 days the official scores are in:
Begins - 9/10 - great back story and a general overall ace movie. Needed more scarecrow and Neeson was the wrong choice (IMO of course)
DK - 10/10 - just utterly brilliant, topped off by Ledger and Eckhart playing their roles superbly
DKR - 9.5/10 - Ties everything together lovely. Hathaway is pyar sex and I spend the next 2 days walking around my house doing the Bane voice and annoying my bird.
I actually had a shot with her just after she did one of those earlier movies. Princess Diaries 1 I think. She was at a local bar and I started chatting her up. Asked what she did for work, she said "actress". I literally had no idea who she was so said "heard it's really hard, if you love it stick with it" thinking I'm smooth. Chat with her another half an hour, go to the bathroom and on the way out my friend grabbed me and said "how the hell do you know Anne Hathaway??" with me saying "I don't really I ju...wait, how do you know her name??". Turns out people knew who she was.Dark Knight Rises wins, the others don’t have this

I refuse to believe that Ledger passing away didn't throw everything out the window. I cannot believe that the Joker was basically an afterthought of the middle movie for half of it if he wasn't supposed to be the entire focus of the 3rd movie.DKR was pretty bad. Came across like Nolan was bored and sorry he had signed up for a trilogy and wanted to get it over with. Very disappointing after the excellent first two
Once upon a time in america. Kinda liked it. Ending is pretty mad.

Nice little twist at the endView attachment 111019
Don’t Listen - Spanish Horror with subs ( Netflix )
A very effective, creepy, old fashioned horror that relies on suspense, the set and false scares to do it’s job, with minimal CGI.
A couple of property developers and their young son, move into a rambling old country house, with the intention of doing it up to sell.
Weird things start to happen and they call in an author who specialises in the paranormal to investigate.
One to watch by yourself, with the lights off. I would’ve happily gone to the cinema to see this.
I really enjoyed it,the storyline gave nothing away and great to see a film without any cgi or random jump scenes,I havent watched my Spanish horror films but the ones I have have been good,Rec,Orphanage,Skin I live in and In a glass cage spring to mind, pretty sure the platform was from Spain as wellDid not see that coming![]()
