Last Film You Watched

Watched the room on Netflix last night, sad film about a girl who's been held captive in a room for 7 years and has had a child by her kidnapper, upsetting when the film is narrated by the boy describing his world from his perspective but went on a bit too long for me, just under 2 hours, the kid actor though is brilliant considering he's playing a 5 year old and he basically the main character

I'm thinking of ending things

Wow, what an incredible film. Last 20 or so could have been better imo but didn't expect that at all. Probably one of my favourite Kaufman films, I think will need a few viewings.

It's pretty much a psychological horror.

Watched this last night, loved it, was so uncomfortable for 2 hours. I've heard it makes more sense if you read the book first though.

Good to hear. I have watched it twice now as my gf wanted to see it.

Quite a lot gets explained here:

I think I did okay with it, but plenty i didn't pick up on.

Yeh I think I understood what was going on; that every scene aside the janitor bits all happens in his head, the woman is someone he met in the past and wished he'd spoken too etc. The car engine going at the very end got me though as the book implies he does actually commit suicide. The bit that confused me the most really was the Tulsey Town scene. I understand the younger versions of the 3 girls are kids in the school in the present, possibly the same type of girl that bullied him in school, but I don't really understand the warning the bruised/rash girl gave to himself?
