Set slightly in the future, the French economy has collapsed and the country is now run and controlled by
unscrupulous Pharma companies.

80 % of the population is unemployed and the main form of entertainment for the masses is unregulated cage fighting, where any form of drug taking to boost performance is encouraged.

The film centres around a washed up cage fighter, who gets sucked into a web of Pharma based corruption.

The cage fighting is a tiny part of the film and for a film that’s only 1hr 20 mins long, it has surprising depth and packs a lot in.

Like Mad Max crossed with Death Race and Blade Runner.

The lead actor, an unknown, who plays the cage fighter is terrific.

Yeah seen it lol I tend to hit the foreign 1s first,French ones,Earth and Blood,girls with balls is an ok comedy horror,theres a Spanish one called Skins which is weird but watchable

The Wu Tang Clan make a martial arts film with Tarantino,sounds good,its not,an obese Russell Crowe,bronze Batistuta and some very beautiful women still dont make it interesting,its a case of what could have been,not even so bad its funny its just crap,even a lack of hats

Excellent film. Michael Shannon turning the Michael Shannon up to 11 in that role.

Absolutely love Michael Shannon, definitely one of my favourite actors out there.

Watched his movie Take Shelter again last week and it's terrific. Really slow build, pushing feelings of dread throughout and has a worthy climax. Brilliant film.

Thats it Ste I saw martial arts,WTC and Tarintino and thought it was going to be completely OTT,the opening scenes looked decent then it went down hill from there,in fact it took a headlong dive off a cliff from there,I clocked they have made a 2nd one I wont be watching that

Finally got to watch Parasite and really enjoyed it.

Beautifully shot, with fantastic performances, and the class metaphor, although clear and obvious, wasn’t done in a ‘hit you over the head’ type way, but was expressed visually, rather than being told what to think.

I love RZA a lot and I desperately wanted this to be good but it's absolutely terrible even with my Wu tinted glasses on

Like I said it had all the ingredients,but except for some fantastic women it was really really poor,its like one of those straight to dvd movies
