Arctic - Netflix.

A fella is left stranded in the Arctic after his light aircraft crashes.

He is left with the choices of staying with his plane or setting out into the frozen wastes to seek help.

Despite a standout performance from Mads Mikklesen and being beautifully filmed, it feels like a film that’s been done many times before, but better.
The guy who wrote and directed this 'started out' making Youtube vidoes. Used to watch his stuff. Nuts that he's now directing a pretty major film with Mads Mikkelsen. Will try and check it out.

Saw The Irishman at the weekend - was planning on waiting for it on Netflix, but cracked and took the chance to see it on the big screen. Very solid stuff. The de-ageing FX took a short time to get used to, but after a while you don't really think about it. Joe Pesci arguably gives the finest performance here; also good to see Harvey Keitel doing something other than trying to sell insurance, although he's not in it for as much as I would have liked.

Finally got One Cut of the Dead on DVD. Can't wait to see it again. Saw it a year ago in the cinema where the subtitles were messed up. It being a japanese movie, I couldn't really follow much of the plot - and it was still bloody hilarious. Can't wait to watch it properly.
