Brilliant film
Just got back from watching. Wears it's Scorsese influences a little too strongly (Taxi Driver & King of Comedy) and it was far too much of a nod having De Niro play the part but a overall a very good film. Beautiful cinematography.
The score is brilliant like you say though an eyebrow was raised at one choice made towards the end.
I really didn't understand the problem with the Gary Glitter tune. I know his history but at the end of the day it's just music.
It fits in with Arthur having a sense of humour at odds with society.
Absolutely no idea why a photo realistic version of Lion King was necessary.....except money making.
So far as Disney classics go though the little granddaughter has recently got into The Jungle Book, original version of course, so I've seen that more than a few times lately. Also been called into duty to sing and dance Bear Necessities with her and march around the room whenever the elephants come on screen. Great stuff.

I love Gene Hackman, he was boss in Crimson Tide with Denzel Washington too
Agree, but my favourite film with him in was Mississippi Burning, truly brilliant film and performance from Hackman, Defoe wasn't bad either.
