One cut of the dead. The first half hour is supposed to be bad. The second 30 mins isn't great but you have to bear with it. The last half hour is worth it.

Saw this last night - Ready or Not.

Totally bonkers ultra black horror comedy.

A normal girl marries into an old eccentric American blue blood family. As part of the wedding celebrations family tradition is that she has to pick a card from an ancient box that dictates what game they should play as after dinner entertainment.

Unfortunately she picks the “ hide and seek “ card which gives the whole family the right to hunt her down and ritually sacrifice her, as long as they can catch her before dawn.

Hilarious in parts, brutal, gory and you really want the bride to not only survive, but to do them all in. Plus the film still manages to remain an edge of the seat horror, despite all the chaos and carnage.

Possibly this years best under the radar film.

Brilliant and Samara Weaving as the bride is not only stunning, but goes full on Nicolas Cage in Kick Ass mode.

Been wanting to see this for a while, trailer looked boss, and seems like a very good representation of the final film. Might have to wait til it comes out on streaming tho

After thinking I managed to avoid going to see Joker, and giving money to a Todd Phillips film, my mum invited me to go with my dad just after I said 'I'm not too bothered to be honest' so that's great.

Was just going to torrent it.

Been wanting to see this for a while, trailer looked boss, and seems like a very good representation of the final film. Might have to wait til it comes out on streaming tho

It`s still on at the Showcase on the East Lancs if you`re local ?

It`s almost impossible to come up with any fresh ideas for a horror film, as it`s all been done to death, but they`ve really nailed it with this one.

One of the funniest films I saw at a festival I attended last year. The subtitles were messed up, so they appeared on screen about a minute after the actual quote (I don't speak japanese), and it still managed to entertain. Got it on dvd this weekend, can't wait to see it again.

"POM" and "ACTION" made me laugh every time.

'Ready or Not'

Not a classic, but a fun 90 minutes with an 80's slasher vibe and some very funny/grisly moments. Samara Weaving was excellent, Kevin Bruun funny.
