The Descent 2

Quite a solid follow on to the original, with a few twists along the way.

Crap ending though.

so many sci fi films with interesting concepts that just fall apart at the end....

It's odd how it never quite took off for her.

There's a reason, definitely worth reading up on. The short version is that her dad was her manager and basically a complete lunatic who kept being such a douche on set that studios just stopped hiring her

Watched Patton last night, great war film. The opening screen is as good an opening as I've seen for ages.
Not sure how historically accurate it is, I hope it is, his mannerisms are fantastic!!

Watched 2 films last night
Wild Bill, English film based in a London suburb about a fella who gets out of prison, ex dealer who now has to look after his 2 kids, the youngest of which has got mixed up with dealers. Decent low budget film with some good acting and a big kick off.
And The Missing, about the hunt for a girl who has been kidnapped by Indians to try and sell to Mexicans, set about 1870, was ok like, some good action scenes in it, set nearly all outdoors in the wild.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Absolutely loved this. Tom Holland is perfect as Spider-Man and I also care about the other characters. Jake Gyllenhaal is always good. The mid-credits scene might be the highlight of the entire film. 8/10

Watched a couple this week,first was "Dark tower", I quite enjoyed it,obviously not on the same level as the books but still a decent watch,the second has already been mentioned on here "12th man",what a story that is and a film that doesnt have explosions,car chases or anything else,it sounds daft but very little happens in it bus still keeps you engrossed

The new Spider-Man film. Thought it was really good. Great plot, good baddie and Holland was excellent as Parker. The post credit scenes where worth going to see alone. Recommended.

Dredd, superb action film - the way they should be made, full on action, violence and tension. I thought Karl Urban was excellent.

Didn’t make its money though, so no sequel unfortunately.

Just seen that Alex Garland has done a Netflix film - Annihilation, I’ll have to give that a watch this weekend.

Watched ‘Hush’ then ‘Gerald’s game’, same director both on Netflix. Really liked hush but Gerald’s game wasn’t for me.
