Actually laughed at that.
He must piss himself when he leaves the studio every Saturday night. All the way to the bank.
Yeah, it is an absolutely scandalous amount of money for doing very little.
We really should employ journalists, people who are intelligent and articulate, as they will be able to offer much greater depth of analysis and discussion that the mindless drivel spewing forth from the ex-pros. The idea that they are somehow more qualified to talk rubbish by virtue of being ex-pros is nonsense. Without anything in between the ears, it counts for nothing. Obviously some - it is very rare - are qualified enough to talk sense. Gary Neville is the best example, we have all been won over by him, soon I think his playing days will be just a fading memory, he will be known for being the best pundit in British football. I also really like Joe Royle, I think he always has interesting things to say.
Some are absolutely woeful though: Shearer I think is the worst. Hansen, Linekar and Lawrenson don't really do anything except laugh at each other's **** jokes and offer their bland, cliched, blanket opinions. To think they get paid £40k a pop is just mind-boggling. Could you ever do so little for so much? Football is really the gift that keeps on giving. If you haven't already made enough millions for kicking a football round and going the gym a few days a week, then the media will just chuck cash at you.
