The Americans are bringing some great terminology to us already. Borderline lethal assassin sniper practice-squadders. GET PUMPED
Where's PGHEverton when we need him? (Danny, any way that you can find that thread from over a year ago with that guy? Pure comedy.)
I can see him being used everywhere to be honest. I think he will try him on the wing and drop Billy more central and he will defo get games upfront, with his running he would suit our style of lone striker.
This.
Hope he isn't used like AJ, ie. to chase hoofs (hooves?) into the channels. There's far more to his game than pace.
Don't think he'll do that as he doesn't really do it over here either.
By the way, I got to thinking about this more and more today after the deal was announced and I'm really excited. Those of you in England have no idea how closely this is going to be watched by Stateside football fans.
This is BIG from an American perspective. Several different camps here:
1) Those who want to see how another American does in a foreign league.
2) Those who want to see how Landon does for his 2nd time in Europe (Munich doesn't really count)
3) Those who love Landon and will follow his progress anywhere.
4) Those who hate Landon but will still follow his progress anywhere.
5) USMNT supporters curious to see how he stacks up.
6) Those who are ardent MLS supporters (like me) who want to see one of our best in one of the top leagues in Europe.
There are so many different angles to this story and the best part is that Everton FC is at the center of all of them. We WILL pick up some new supporters over here regardless of how Landon does. I can assure you of that.
January can't come quick enough for me.
