I can only speak for myself but I would sooner watch non league football than a CL match. I cannot stand the bloated, cash rich precession. Just one big advertisement for products I do not want these days.

its generally boring negative football. I like it when your new teams like Leicester get in there, but they along with the lower standard countries champions will just sit 10 men behind the ball. I don't want to watch that. I know the PL can be a bit like that as well, but there is generally more of a tempo to PL than CL if nothing else.

No but that's an extreme example.

He's left a current CL club (albeit one unlikely to achieve that feat again any time soon but you never know) and the current league champions for a side that is currently in the midst of a much-needed rebuild.

A lot of that is down to money - which there isn't anything wrong with.

Partly, Chelsea do still have a huge profile so he probably is thinking that will help.

But I don't think it's down to 'aspiring to be the best'. If that was the case he would have stayed at Leicester and 'aspired' to be the best in a team that had done so well last term, as opposed to have been tosh.
