Lack of pace in the squad

Don't see Kev being a regular starter, personally. He's never been able to produce quality consistently. The sort of player who drives their manager mad.
Could honestly see Kev being surplus to requirements. Sandro, Rooney, siguardsson, bolasie and lookman can all play wide in a front 3.

I dont see how any of this fits together.

I've said before Koeman is clueless at putting an attack together. There's just no coherence in these purchases. Not yet anyway.

Only Rooney puzzles me slightly the rest will be starters every week. What's not coherent about that?

I think it's an understandable concern, especially if the rumours of Giroud are true.

Yep, Spurs aren't packed with pace in attack but they also have the best finisher in the league and absolutely rapid full backs.

Barkley is pretty quick so him staying is even more important now imo.

Who goes where? And isn't there some repetition?

I cant see a happy bench here. We're not chasing trophies and only teams that are can keep discipline and a lid on discontent.

I do get the feel this is how Walsh like teams to play and obviously so does Ronko.

Speed of thought has a huge part to play in counter attacking football but at the same time you need that pace to carry it out.

Always look at Leicester Vardy, Mahrez and Albrighton pace, remember them hitting us a few times that season.

Yep, wouldn't disagree.
I've been thinking the same about some of the players on our books.. does anyone see a future for Besic, McCarthy & Barry?

I have serious doubts whether McCarthy and Besic's bodies can withstand our high tempo game favoured by koeman. For that reason I think if realistic offers came in for either or both of them, then we would consider it.

I hope we play with a much more quicker forward passing game next season and have one or two players already forward when defending corners/set pieces. It is going to be a real true test for Ronald too this season, he has assessed the existing squad and culled the dead wood now he is putting together his own team and we need to give them our full support and hope he gets it right. I am very optimistic we will improve but whether we improve enough to climb to a higher position remains to be seen, 'Rome wasn't built in a day'...

I don't think you can compare us to Leicester. They just sat back giving up possession against virtually every opponent they faced and hit them in the break. Teams only had to drop 10 yards to negate the space they could run into like they did this season and they were found out. They had no plan b to fall back on last season and it showed.

Sigurdsson and Giroud won't help us in the pace department. Sandro looks like he has a good turn and Lookman should get a good run this year.

Yes we need more pace in attacking areas but we also need another winger and striker ... we are a short anyway

Mirallas is pretty gash, lennon not really a first team starter. Lookman impressive but young. Bolasie quick but injured

What a load of rubbish again. Tell me how many goals Everton scored in the 38 matches last season compared to your football god attacking master of the previous three seasons?
