DRINGO

Player Valuation: £5m
I know someone touched on it in the transfer thread ! but it worries me a lot !
Lennon, Coleman and Bolasie are our quickest players and 2 of them are out til crimbo and the other probably wont get near the 1st team ! I know someone touched on it in the transfer thread ! but it worries me a lot !

Sandro doesnt look a slouch, but not double quick either !

If we sign Sigurdsson, and have Klaassen and Rooney ! I'm probably as quick as them ! :-(

Do we need more pace you think ? or we ok as we are ?

If you look at where we were under Bobby, our best chances came when we sat back and hit teams on the break. Pace in the team was critical in that kind of set up. I genuinely think Koeman is building a team that he expects to control the game and let the opposition do all the running.

That being said, the window ain't closed and Moshi is throwing money about so who knows what will happen.

I'd love for us to sign a pacy winger or two but it all depends on how RK see's us playing next year, granted it would give us a lot more options but for now i'm happy with our business in the window and i'm sure we'll see a lot more activity in the coming 7 weeks.

Clever movement and ability on the ball trumps pace and power. As you've said, Sandro is quick enough, as is Mirallas. I don't see it being a massive issue really but still time in the window for someone a bit quicker to be brought in for a wide position.

its all about the footballing brain and stamina for me. if we are playing proper pressing football then the speed to me is low down the list as a great couple of passes and open space creativity youll be up the other end quicker than a sprinter

Lookman isn't exactly a slouch is he!?
Pace is a requirement I'll give you that but footballing intelligence trumps it throughout 90 minutes; I can't see us looking to play counterattack football under Koeman so I think breakaway speed isn't going to be that high on the list of requirements but that said I still think we are crying out for a left winger, mirrallas is quick enough because he can run at pace with the ball on the right but I'm hoping Lookman is ready to step up.
