Cant see it tbh - It's not like Roberto had been tracking him for months and he was our number one Jan target - if that was the case we wouldn't have let him virtually sign for West Ham, and actually sign for Monaco.

Do you not believe with Lukaku back and with him being out until maybe mid April we would have sent him back? Yes there's still a month left after that, but with him coming back from 2 hamstring injuries he's hardly going to play most minutes in most games and would be restricted to impact substitutions. Monaco clearly don't have him in their long term plans and would be very open to a permanent summer transfer or extension, which in my opinion would have been discussed.

I hope he proves me wrong but I do suspect the only time this guy will be getting mentioned in 3 years time, is in Everton trivia questions along with the likes of Westerweld, Lie Weifeng and Rodrigo.

I think he grew too fast mate and his hamstrings are attached to his legs by pritstick, the really cheap one from poundland not the proper stuff either

He signed for Monaco + if he was a target we'd have signed him.

He also nearly signed on loan for west ham which is the same principle as signing for monaco --we werent too keen.

Seems that our signings werent available.

On top of this, if we have paid a loan fee for him then why send him back?

This guy was no doubt a panic signing when it became more than obvious that mitchy wasn't going to be available in January.

I'd be amazed if we saw him again next season. If lukaku and Naismith can both stay fit till the end of the season we'll just about scrape by till summer.

The fact he seemed pretty down that he didn't says more...everything that's happened since then is just part of the game.

I would say we need 3 new forwards next season, neither of those are going to help us push for top 4

If I expect the worst, then anything he does is a positive. It's all mind games with myself.
