If he's out for a while that means there are a fair number of minutes before the end of the season where it'll be like today with Naismith and osman, and zero chance of scoring any goals. Lukaku can't play every minute

We could slip further than this if that is the case.

Very true.

I'd quite like us to play 2 strikers at some point.

i've got to be honest, i'd like us just to have two fit strikers at some point.

jesus wept, it's been a good few months for sure. naismith is more and ACM, he's our 4th choice striker so he doesn't really count ... purely to fit my argument.

Can you imagine how dangerous we would be with just one, let alone two, of United's strikers/ACMs
RVP, Rooney, Mata?

Heck, I wouldn't mind any of their backups Wellbeck, Hernandez, Kagawa or Januzaj

Such a shame that in the whole of world football the only backup striker who was avaliable for the right price came injured and then re-injured himself in a warm up.

Maybe all the other hundreds of strikers were out that day when we phoned them.

Hind sight and all that but seems like such an odd signing, bringing in an unfit striker on loan for a dozen games whilst you let one striker with Premier League experience be sold.

This signing has "farce" written all over it.

He is 6 foot 8" and we are told he isn't "much good" in the air but has "nimble" feet.

He looks like a clown with that sad haircut.

And he is injured in the warm up for his second appearance.

Hi death how did you coax them into a name change?

I'd love to tell you, but Grandoldteam would kill me :)

It was a risk. If Lukaku had stayed fit and found form again, and if Traore had got fit and scored when required if would have paid off.

But it didn't and it shows what a crap risk it was and how disgraceful it was that we were even in that position that taking that risk was seemingly our only option.

Only way it will become worthwhile now is if he wins us the cup.
