Lost his legs from what I can see. His pace was all he was about now that's gone he's a journeyman. There are reasons he's being moved on. Defo should avoid, when will we ever change!
Not lost pace.

IMO last seasons stats seem to suggest otherwise and at 28 he will only get slower. Pace was the main aspect of his game as even when he made mistakes (he makes quite a few) his speed dug him out the hole. I watched him a few times last year and his recovery pace is definitely not what it used to be and now his mistakes are there to be seen. Not lost pace.
I mean, he's younger than Richard Gough was when he signed.

The morality policeman here.Gough was a proper pro, looked after himself and even at 38 when he played for us, he was as fit as anyone in the team. Smith desperately wanted him to stay for another season, but he went back to the States, like he promised his family he would.
Walker`s pace has gone, even a blind man can see that, he can`t keep his dick in his kecks and him and his latest missus are never out of the papers for one thing or another.
We can do much much better for what he`d be after in wages.
Please dont use that term. I find it upsetting. No it wouldn't, we are about to extend Colemans contract and have Patto. Neither of whom are capable of picking up that role, we need a new - reliable RB.

In any case, from what I understand, Gough had issues...and I'll say no more than that.
Replacing a 40yr old with a 35yr old is bringing the average down.My main worry over this is that we already have the 3rd oldest squad in the league (last season anyway) and am not keen on us continuing to pack it with players at the end of their careers or a ton of loan signings again.
Feels very short termist.
