An update and it's not good news

Straight from the horses(Naughtons) mouth to my Blue mate in Sheff, the same mate who I reported about few ages back/Fri. He spoke to him yesterday(Sat)

He's 99% going to Spurs :(

Facts:

1. He's at WHL today having a medical today or tomorrow
2. The fee is £5m and they're also paying £3m for Walker
3. Naughton wanted to come to EFC but we wouldn't pay the extra £1m
4. We had an official £4m bid accepted last Fri til Spurs came in last weekend with £5m
5. Naughton hasn't trained all week with Utd but visited WHL/Redknapp this week - Weds
6. Utd banned him from any further contact with EFC, he was suppose to sign for us on Mon 13th
7. He met Moyes at his house in secret this week although as mentioned above he wasn't allowed any official contact with EFC/Goodison/Finch Farm
8. Naughton was looking at houses in Cheshire, so keen was he to move to Everton

This is the interesting part and probably a massive insight into Moyes and how we portray ourselves

Naughton said that when he met Moyes he felt a little bit uneasy and although he was friendly, spoke well of him and Everton etc "It was like being with your Headmaster"
He said Redknapp on the other hand was "really comfortable to be with and a right laugh!" The cheeky chappy cockney **** that he is!

My mate then hypothetically asked him "If we came back with £5m and Sheff agreed for you to officially talk to us again, would you join?" to which he replied:
"Probably not, not now, it's gone on too long and I just wanna play football in The Prem!"

Don't shoot the messenger but that's all basically from Naughton

Fcuk him then, I'd want to go to the best school; the one that promised the best results, not the one that had the headmaster who was the biggest laugh! Close the thread and don't waste any more time on it. On to the next target.

I just think that if Spurs were close to signing Naughton, they would have atleast released something about having a medical or whatever.

This transfer is pissing me off. He's either coming or we **** him off and move on.

He won't be signing. I've no inside information, but that's the way things seem to be. Sheffield United want more money from us, we've told them to eff off, and Naughton is caught in the middle. He's interested in joining us, he may even have deliberately stalled because of this, but sooner or later he will accept the inevitable and sign for Harry.
