You just have to wonder what Spurs could possibly offer a young, up and coming player.

Other than maybe more in wages and living in London, nothing else really.

Oh wait, instability, no chance of playing in Europe, manager merry go round, etc...

Yeah, I guess I would want to go to Spurs after all.

what a waste of energy this transfer window is. moyes must be fuming. so spurs now have 4 right backs?

Harry might be the stupidest tactical manager. How are you going to buy 2 RB when your entire left side the weakest part of the team? If they get both of them I hope Moyes remembers their only attack will come from the right and to attack the hell out of the left side.

Nothing on the spurs website.

Only one major paper is reporting it, which is slightly odd if it's been confirmed by someone in the know:huh:

Clinging on here

That will be first for us

(That would be their left and our right if my maths is correct)

Bill has released a statement on the OS that he hopes Naughton will have signed by tomorrow.....

So he will, or this is the old style lip service deja-vu experience.

Maybe the pendulum is swingingback in our favour?

Everton are new favourites for Sheffield United pair Kyle Walker and Kyle Naughton.

The Daily Mail says Everton edged ahead of Tottenham in the competition for Sheffield United full backs Naughton and Walker after the Championship club set a 48-hour deadline to complete the deal.

Both clubs have offered £10m for the pair - which meets United's valuation - and would allow Walker, 19, to return to Bramall Lane on loan next season as part of the deal.

We are quite special of failing on the 'done-deal'.

But to be honest, we have had too many years of official BS over signings.

I just feel more optimistic this season that we will get a couple of players to bolster the squad and I still believe there will be one BIG signing. Right, back to the mushrooms.....
