I don't know much about Cana (he sounds quite tough and skilled), but anytime you can ink a team's captain and that team is in a major european league, you're going to find quality. If he's worth the armband at Marseille, he's worth a spot at Everton.

Plus, he wants to sign for Everton. Best to get quality that want to get with the Moyes program than cajole with cash.
