Could agree more BT. +Rep.

I cannot disagree more mate. I have a lot of time and respect for both you and BT, but we have made a mess of yet another transfer. The fact that we are getting outdone by clubs like Tottenham is so frustrating. We are set to make a repeat of last summer and the sooner we face the reallity, the smoother the blow will be.

Have I missed something, or has Naughton signed for Spurs? I'm looking for confirmation on various websites, but can't find anything.

Still confident he makes the right career choice. That's Everton not Spurs.

Bit of 'news' - if you call it that...

Right, just spoke to my Evertonian mate in Sheff who runs a shop. Naughton and his best mate are good punters, my mate spoke to them both yesterday but obviously they were both tight lipped, although the first thing my mate said was "Are you a Blue yet?" to which he replied "Not just yet!"

The facts:

1. Naughton was going to sign Monday just gone, until Spurs stepped in
2. Naughton WANTS to come to Everton
3. His agent is pushing for a move to Spurs

My mate has also seen a lot of him play and says he's the new Ashley Cole(in terms of player, not a shitbag of a bloke) and WILL be a full England RB within 2 seasons if he joins us

I'll try and keep you informed

What a great agent (n)

Sky Sports | Football News | Premier League | Everton | Spurs to snare Blades pair

Skysports.com understands Tottenham Hotspur have won the race to sign Sheffield United duo Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker.

The young full-backs have been at the centre of a transfer battle between Spurs and Premier League rivals Everton over the past week.

Everton agreed a deal with the Blades for Naughton over a week ago, only for Spurs to make a move for the England Under 21 international and Walker.

That prompted the Toffees to follow suit by also trying to include Walker in their deal to take Naughton to Goodison Park.

Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright

confirmed on Thursday that Naughton had still to have a medical, but it now appears he is on his way to Tottenham.

It is understood that Naughton and Walker will agree to move to White Hart Lane

in preference to joining David Moyes' side.

Walker is expected to be loaned back to the Blades for the season, while Naughton will push for a place in Harry Redknapp's

starting line-up.

God, just looks what Skysport are like they can't even make up a story, they are going to "White Hart Lane" in preference to joining David Moyes's side?

What the hell they are trying to say? So, Moyes is off to Spurs? What a Joke?

Yeah, if this was taken in isolation, then you could say that we were screwed and totally blameless. But there does seem to be a pattern with Everton and transfers. We don't make it easy do we?

Anyway, I'm starting to get fed up with this young Naughton fella to be honest. (n)
