Then again Rudiger was just as guilty, was guilty of getting dragged out wide and utterly rinsed. I'd take him back here for decent value because I'd like to think Ancelotti could shape his raw attributes in to a very good defender.

Raw attributes are fine and dandy but he’s 25 and has been playing in the Premier League for 5 and a half years.
 
I thought he was better than ok for us, once he got going he was very good and I’d take him back all day if the price was right.

I think he has all the attributes to compliment Mina, he was a good fit fit the club and would excel under Carlo. He was a key cog in the defence that ended the season so strong and for 25 million or under it’s a yes from me.
 
Dreadful defender. No composure whatsoever. Makes Keane and Mina look like world beaters. There is no way Zouma can play in the style Ancelotti envisions. Zouma is the worst central defender on the ball I have seen since Carragher - who at least was good at defending. Zouma is neither.

Too early to say what style Ancelotti will envisage - so how do you know.
But Zouma, if we had kept him, was good enough for where we were.
He's not good enough for where we want to go...and he won't be on his own either.

I know because Zouma is a donkey that wouldn't look out of place in a rodeo.

Nobody,just nobody makes Keane look an average defender,never mind a world beater.
 
Zouma is better than Keane and would have provided us with decent cover in the CB positions.

I think Ancelotti would be wanting a different kind of defender though, so this boat has sailed imo.
