Come on Everton

BBC reporting it can only be a sign that we’re serious. £30m+add ons would be a fair deal.

If anything I actually think we’d have the bigger upside of that deal. A couple of great seasons and playing for France would double his value.

I can’t even remember the last time Luiz made a mistake that led to a goal.

It happens too often tbh, he made several last season as Chelsea fell back off the pace quite dramatically after an amazingly strong opening to the season. his positioning can be extremely poor and at corners is often diabolical.

It was highlighted on more than one occasion by Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville but isn't too hard to spot anyway. The form that contributed so heavily to Brazil being absolutely embarrassed by Germany 1-7 in their own World Cup in 2014 is still very much part and parcel of the package you get with David Luiz.

To be honest Zouma doesn’t stack up that well against him in that department.

I actually think Luiz has improved massively in his second spell back at Chelsea. He was also second only to Azpilicueta in minutes played out of all their players last season, so he must be doing something right.

Sarri liked him as he puts the emphasis on being comfortable in possession rather than a solid defender.

He is comfortable on the ball, but a bit like John Stones, it doesn't tell the whole story.
