Agreed, but it means we can really focus on that area next season without overpaying drastically for a crap center half this year. This year is about regaining credibility for me

You could find an Evertonian who'd tell you any player in our squad is garbage. I was about to say "bar Pickford and Gueye" but then remembered I've seen some mental people on here say they're crap too. It means nothing.

Zouma, and also Andre Gomes, are two players with a lot of potential who for differing reasons, have lost their way a bit. Hopefully they find it again here. If not, then no harm done as they're both on loan. But I'm sure if your mate in work had been watching Jags, Keane or Ashley Williams last season, he'd have said they were even worse. So forgive the bulk of Evertonians for being pleased as us signing centre backs that will help us rely less on the likes of Keane and a 58 year old Jagielka.

Cant imagine so, only signed a new long term deal before he went on loan last season. Chelsea rate him a lot but want to see how he gets on after the injury.
