Kone Signs on 3 Year Deal

Jelavic is doing the same thing, while Anichebe has spent his career avoiding the back of the net on a regular basis.

Maybe there's a clause in Jelavic's contract where if he scores 20 a season he has to put on a one man performance of HMS Pinafore for the entire squad at Finch Farm?

Wish we'd hurry up and sign him. Honestly think he'll be at least a good signing, and possibly an excellent one.

Plus we'll be well acer on FIFA next year.

Everton have only got themselves to blame if Kone ends up at Newcastle. They could have sorted this out weeks ago.

Why is it every club can do the deals very quickly and quietly but we drag things on and on maybe there's a job opportunity somewere there for someone to act as a mediator club!!

If Bill and Martinez cant convince someone to join us ahead of Newcastle (let alone a former Martinez player who has a better chance of a regular striking role) then it really is going to be a long depressing summer.

Did Martinez have trouble sealing transfers before he came to Everton? I thought this culture of tranfers dragging on for ever would change with a new man in charge, but this sounds like the same old story. Who is the common denominator? The Chairman I suppose.

How embarrassing if we don't sign him now. Not that Im really that arsed about him, its just a bit of a joke how long it takes us to sort out deals. First thing I heard about Shelvey going Swansea was when the deal was done for example. With us it takes weeks, and then sometimes falls through i.e Fer.

Oh so depressingly true.

So Everton must have agreed a fee to be allowed to speak with him.

Load of nonsense IMO.

He will sign for Martinez.

Any doom mongers want a bet on this one?

I see nothing much has changed with the time frame we take to sign players... Shame poor Martinez, he will now know what Moyes had to put up with. No wonder we never get the players we need.
