Anyone unconvinced by Kone maybe have a read of this excellent article by The Executioner's Bong. It's definitely made me feel a bit more enthusiastic about him.
(there's a few pictures/videos on his website that I couldn't/couldn't be arsed to add in)
IS KONE THE RIGHT MAN FOR EVERTON?

Two things that stick out...
His link up play will be better than what we have. I think Jelavic struggled with that side of laying it off then being in good areas to score if at all. It could help Jelavic be the fox in the box that he's best at.
He's also direct, strong, and likes the ball on the floor. So that will limit the hoofs and forwards losing headers, stopping attacks and giving away possession. Think we have to be patient if he loses the ball when trying to beat a player.
The other thing that I've a slight concern about is the "right place, right time". Jelavic had this his first season, didn't in the 2nd. Some players get lucky and the sense of surprise helps players the 1st time. 2nd season, that luck runs out and defenders clock on so it becomes harder. The better players overcome that. So Kone will need to be more than that type of player.
I wouldn't be surprised with him out left and Pienaar playing in the middle.
