Good luck to Conor in his future. The lad has the talent to make a good career for himself. The other fella can get te f...

Always wonder what would have happened if McAleny had nabbed that equaliser at the Emirates in December 2011....

...probably the same thing, we'd move on. But there'd be a 10 minute period where he would be the next Rooney.

McAleny is no loss. The fact he's been happy to stay in our reserves and out on loan until now speaks volumes - didn't have the right mentality or, let's face it, probably not the ability either.

Good luck to him though of course.

As for Kone, no need to even say anything - one of Martinez's "jobs for the boys" along with Alcaraz, who lingered around like a bad smell.

Interesting that only 7 of the 2nd year scholars have been kept on. Last year we kept 12 on and the year before 10 shows that they really were strong age groups. Hopefully this will give more opportunities for players as the u23 squad was far too big last year.

Apparently we offered to pay half of his wages at the end of January until the end of his contract if he left on a free. He refused

Probably as he knows other clubs wouldn't have even paid the other half he was earning to take him on a free!

Will end up in Erdivisie I reckon

McAleny was class for Oxford, he wouldn't dominate teams like, Ledson or Lundstram for example but would pop with a goal or two or three McAleny from anywhere on the pitch....we would be gutted if he didn't sign for us as we played him in the central role he wanted, don't think he's ready for the championship yet, a year or two he might make that step up.....by the way we are made up how well jj Kenny has come on, was much loved at oxford
