Knee-Jerk Reaction or Wake Up Call?

Cal, good things have been made. I don't think it would be wise to throw it all to the wind.

We haven't progressed, indeed. Does this mean Moyes has to go? Or is our system worn out?

I don't think any of the questions are true.

Sometimes we have to take a step backwards in order to be able to give two steps forward.

It all depends on what we are doing throughout this season. Will we build a stronger side for the next season? The answer to this question holds our future.

there could be some logic in that.
Lescott looked invincible with Pienaar in front of him.
the entire defence seemed more easy and in control with Carsley sat sweeping clear the DM position.
but its Cahill that has altered the dynamic for me, i believe the squad has learned to play without him - moyes used AJ, anichebe and osman in parts last season in the second striker/supportive roles.
throw in that we have two new faces that dont speak english yet that there is some transition to work through.

I wouldnt say we're going backwards but at this moment in time we're treading water, other clubs Villa in particlar have caught up to us through spending a bit of cash through the summer and not waiting till the last moment to snap up what where panic buys
