Regardless of the fact he is a good manager he arrives at a club who have many expensive flops and who are on massive wages so he won't find it easy to get them out of the club. They have a massive rebuilding job after Brenda's disastrous tenure and it will take a couple of years to do and only then if he makes no mistakes in the transfer market and has luck with Sturridge staying fit. Cant see them in the top 6 this or next season without ridiculous amounts of money spent.

Odds on someone at that club is going to tell him to conflate LFC with the City of Liverpool, just like that no mark beaut who got his arse kicked to the kerb on Sunday.

He is the latest flavour of the month manager but lets have it right he had top players at Dortmund when they were flying.

At the RS he has to work with a lot of mediocre players.

I'm not to worried.

Which in turn makes me think he'll do a pretty good job at first with them lot.

Maybe 1 or 2 seasons of decent progress, that we will all hate.

Then he'll get found out over here. Which will be boss.

Thing is mate, the system Klopp basically invented of that gegenpress or whatever it's called made Dortmund practically unbeatable for a period, then slowly but surely managers started to figure out how to counter it, or just simply emulate the tactics themselves

Press high up the pitch, play on the counter and utilise very pacey players to capitalise on any mistake from the team in possession and hit them fast. Sound familiar - it should do, nearly every team outside the top 4 play the exact same way in this league now and a fair few do in germany etc as well.

Like any 'revolutionary' system eventually it becomes commonplace and then it becomes less effective - could argue the exact same thing happened with the sticky-tapas way from Barca etc

Klopp's going to be arriving and he is good manager - but the thing that stood him out from the crowd at Dortmund when they beat Bayern twice to the league won't have any impact on this league now as we have seen it for 2 years or more from countless teams

we are kidding ourselves if we don't expect an upturn in performance with Klopp's arrival, it Klopp vs rodgers ffs, how far that goes is up for speculation, I think he is a very good manager, and am not jumping for joy at him going there, seems a nice fella too, shame I will have to start despising him as of today

Merely a matter of time before he comes out with some BS about Everton.

As soon as they step through the doors of Hades they part company with any sort of decency.

they play the PR game very hard there, friends in the press etc, media officers scripting all new arrivals interviews, theres very little that comes out of the pit that feels natural, all rehearsed, which is a shame because his interviews always seemed very open and off the cuff, that will change with them lot
