Quite amusingly most accounts seem to be his she’s shocked and upset he made the story , not naming her , public . In fairness she does look absolutely broken up there like

I met Charlie once. Following serious flooding where I lived, which a police officer had died during, he came up to visit the area.

I was stood outside my friends flat (that had been flooded) on the Main Street and he came up to us and made a joke about flooding.

I then got interviewed by the local radio about what he said. I told them he made an unfunny joke that wasn’t appropriate. It didn’t get aired.

At least I’m getting an extra day off this year.
