We could have our own Putin or Trump and you just know that it would be the likes of Boris enjoying all of the types of things you list above.

There are plenty of examples of republics that don't have complete and utter loony leaders.
Plus they wouldn't enjoy anywhere near the amount of ridiculous luxury afforded to royal family such as crown estates and insane parades all the time.

Obviously we live in a country that repeatedly votes Tory so sadly our leader probably would be an absolute wrong un.
But we have that anyway so I would prefer to see them gone either way
