I was talking to a guy who is a mate of Big joe and Joe rates this lad of making the grade in our first team!

I think this season in the Championship will be the making of him.
The experience and the responsibility of being a key man in the Forest team is invaluable to a young player and moreso to a youngster like Dowell who lacked consistency even at under 23 level.
It will be fascinating next season when he comes back how he will get on then.

Players mature at different levels and I think sometimes they are brought into the first team too quickly and when their form is erratic, and it will be, they can get a hard time which sets them back further.
