i get the feeling the two may be linked to be honest. you see someone like jonjoe kenny being what 1 or 2 max years away from stepping up - hence why martinez has been reluctant to bother with buying a right back backup and giving hibbert a new contract to bridge that gap. Surely he doesn't see hibbert as a viable solution anyway seeing as he's a totally different right back.

he looks way past a season for us and i like it. he did it at swansea - transformed how they would play and was looking towards the future rather than just "i got these players for this season - i need to look at the ebst way of utilizing them" - swansea were a one-man team with trundle before he came it must be said.

think he's another stones/gomez/galloway in that he's being played as a full back to ease him in but will eventually be a centre back.

He was a RB for most of his time in the youth team set up. Very good he was too. As aggressive going forward as Seamus Coleman.

Great points. Hence the reason I want Martinez to see his contract out at least. He is a builder not a short term fixer

Liked him when he played for us in Europe last season and been impressed with what I've seen from him since.
This is 1 player we should definitely get tied down to a long contract, especially as Pienaar is basically finished!
Love his willingness to go forward and create.
