Kicking the ball out for an injured player.

It should be up to the ref to stop the game, if he doesn't blow his whistle you carry on.

Players these days a bunch of fannies anyway, you only have to look at them in an aggressive way and they go down.

The other thing I find funny is when a player goes down, but his team have the ball, they have the chance to kick it out but they play on, and as soon as they lose the ball they're kicking off at the opposition to kick it out.

I like to consider myself a sportsman and would never cheat or seek to gain unfair advantage - its a matter of personal pride. It annoys me though when play is stopped because a player goes down. If it is life or death, or a particularly nasty collision, or head injury, then certainly the ref should stop play, or if they haven't seen the incident, the ball kicked out - no argument. However, it's a contact sport and we shouldn't expect the game to halt, just because somebody gets hurt, until there's a natural break in play. When I've been seriously hurt in a game, having the game stopped straight away, or 5 minutes later would make no difference to pain or recovery - just get on with it.

Now I'm decrepit enough to enjoy walking football, it annoys me that everyone automatically stops every time someone takes a tumble. We all wait while they climb to their feet again and give them the ball out of sympathy, whether they were fouled or in possession or not. That isn't sportsmanship, that's millennial level hipsterism ffs. To prevent people getting mentally scarred they won't be keeping the score next! :red:

More “controversy” at Plymouth where Scunny scored an equaliser after the home goalie tried to kick the ball out of play.

But Scunny didn’t do a Leeds...too much at stake in this game :)

This nonsense needs binned.....just play to the whistle.
This was a bit of an odd one as the keeper was injured and tried to put it out of play, but then he could have done a better job of it. If he had just gone down and held the ball I'm sure the ref would re-start with a drop ball (not a free kick for holding on too long). So why take the chance?

I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of years ago, some carthorse striker cracked a couple of my ribs, I wasn't sure what the ref was giving so lobbed it out over the nearest line, which happened to be the goal line. Worse case scenario they re-start with a corner. The GK in this game should have done similar, although it was a really snidey thing to do to keep it in play.
