It’s like finding out that uncle who you haven’t seen since you were 8 has died. You think you should care but you just can’t bring yourself to.

Can we just stop the Moyes stuff regarding West Ham please.
It is totally irrelevant to us going forward.
He led West Ham to probably their most successful period ever.
End of story !.

No way.

There most succesful period was 1964 through 1966.

West Ham won the F.A. Cup, the European Cup Winners Cup and capped it all by winning the World Cup 👍

Up the ‘ammers….come on you Irons…cor blimey me old China…knees up Mother Brown…

He signed over 5 years ago. Cant think of any top signings Wham signed since then which were good value?

More than a joke. This run of form is great...but not at the expense of allowing Moyes and his henchman carte blanche on players this summer.

How much did Moyes pay for Paqueta and Kudus?

It was exactly 5 years. 2020. Thats funnily enough why i said 5 years. Thats also a decent enough time to judge wether its been a good signing.
I can guess where you're trying to go but in Moyes time he has as many ticks than crosses. No manager hits the bullseye everytime. I can remember Ferguson signing Sebastian Veron. He looked the most tailor made midfielder for the English game. He completely flopped
It happens.

He signed for them in Jan 2020 which is now over 5 years ago if were being precise.

Since then theres not been a single top player who has signed for David Moyes for good value.

Hes spent big money on Paqueta and Kudus...double what they could have been available for when Thelwell was interested.

Goodnight and goodbye.

Maupay I think was the biggest blunder
According to Bobble’s mate (and I assume he got this from Bobble himself? He’ll soon deny on here if that’s the case) Thelwell didn’t want Maupay and was overruled by others above him who wanted “Premiership experience”. Amazing that so many grown adult men use the Maupay signing as a stick to beat the “Kopite” with whilst completely ignoring all of the great work he’s done here. Absolute man babies some of our lot.
As I said on here before, the club has not publicly revealed the lenght of his contract. That is unusual. Moyes's reaction to the robbery last weekend was remarkably muted. Throw in the distinct lack of transfer activity in January and his admission that he has not yet visited the new stadium, and one wonders if his tenure is shorter than people expect.

I have no issue with him staying on for another year. But I expect these Americans will want their own stamp on the club soon enough.
Moyes will be going nowhere this summer. Bonkers to even think that is even a slight possibility.

I think they were quite good for expensive mate, I don't know exact figures. But they are still good players and buys IMO.

I certainly care. I liked what he managed to bring in on frees, loans and klarna deals whilst having a negative net spend for years and clearing out the squad of high earning dross to get the club back on a stable financial footing. I was quite excited to see what he could deliver with an actual budget of some sort. Let’s see just how good his replacement will be…

With respect to those who have posted it, I’m not sure why anyone would want Moyes as a DOF. He’s never been one before so there’s no evidence he’d be any good at it apart from having done some good transfer business in the 00s.

He might be good at it like, but I don’t think it’s a guarantee
