I don’t really know how to feel about this

I’m still not convinced we even need a DoF, but sadly every club seems to think it has to have one

I’d be happier just letting Moyes handle the footballing side with some lieutenants helping him out

By all means have someone working on the commercial and communications side etc, but just let Moyes be an old school manager and run the football aspect of things 🤷‍♂️

The thing is though mate, that's quite a good hit rate for West Ham really.

Like Scammaca was a big miss, but I just can't imagine that being a Moyes signing.
And so it begins again. Let's not do this. They're either all his or none of them are, let's not do this silly dance of "players A,B and C were signed by the DOF and players X,Y and, Z were signed by the manager" with the supporting evidence being tweets from random punters to make one look better and one look worse. He either signed Bowen AND Scammacca or he signed neither of them.

I mean that's fair enough and probably the right way of looking at it.

However given he hardly ever played him, on the balance of probability I doubt he was his signing.

My wider point though, is West Hams recruitment was now woeful or whatever it was suggested. I think it was decent. Not outstanding, but there were definitely some good buys

If it is done before the end of the season and by the looks of it with this news then looks like we will have one. If they think is a better optioj then fine, is time if they bring one now before the end is time as they will talk to moyes and already have contacts around the game so we can go after targets to fit the squad

If they rely on Moyes for recruitment then were screwed.

Id say jarrod bowen is one of the best value for money signings by any manager in the past 5 years.
Ive got no issues with Moyes in the transfer market. He's got far more right than wrong.

He signed over 5 years ago. Cant think of any top signings Wham signed since then which were good value?

Sounds like Moyes has played a big role in the decision not to renew Thelwell's deal. Looks likely that it will be Newman - the fella who helped him recruit mostly poorly at West Ham. Who will basically just be a head of recruitment and Moyes will be in charge of most things.

Bit of a joke if true.

More than a joke. This run of form is great...but not at the expense of allowing Moyes and his henchman carte blanche on players this summer.

How much did Moyes pay for Paqueta and Kudus?

Does the head of recruitment or the DOF identity transfer targets?

If it's the head of recruitment, then we need to keep him over the thelwell.

Yay, it's whack-a-kopite....GO!
