Tim, you know we needed to strengthen all 3 areas of the pitch, we managed back line and midfield, couldn't do up front.
If we'd done up front and back line we'd still be in a mess.
It wasn't all fixable in one window (or was, if the club took some risks).
Goals are more important than every other position on the field.
You cant not be in a relegation fight if you only score at a rate of 11 in 14 games. We are basically Burnley only it cost us half a billion to get here.
Calvert-Lewin is finished as a first choice no.9 in this league. Gordon is regressing at quite a worrying rate. Gray wouldn't make the bench of most midtable PL clubs. I dont know what the point of the Mcneil signing was. Maupay looks absolutely lost out there and can't win a challenge. Our midfield players offer nothing in terms of goals. We carry little to no threat on set plays.
These are bottom 3 forward options. That means we are in a survival battle, regardless of defensive improvements.
