People keep saying we need to find someone to play alongside Rom, or just behind him... which is exactly what Mirallas does best. They are friends, they play well together, it seems obvious to me.

god no. no for me. he has turned up occasionally only.

he is still a bit of a dumb footballer for me. too much instinct that fails more than it comes off. he is not the playmaker or second striker we are looking for.

a good solid 60min from him today though

Or has he been told that he has a future here and wants to be part of this 'project'. Whatever it was a massive improvement but you're right he should be turning that kind of performance in every week.

Don't get the big criticism with Mirallas. Big fan of him and proved today how good he can be when played in his favoured position down the middle. Was outstanding.

Really sharp today brought out the best in Rom also, he needs a partner. I think this 3~5-2 system suits us.

Best game in ages. When he plays like today he can be unplayable.

Needs to find that level of form more often though.

I've always had a soft spot for him so that was great to see. Hopefully he can kick on and put in a few more shifts like that. I'd be sad if we ever sold him.
