Can agree to disagree on the Rom front there mate.

Some of his finishes last year were superb, and that one against Dynamo Kyiv for example.

Mirallas is a good finisher, but I've seen him miss a fair few sitters that Rom would have put away, imo

And vice versa to be honest mate, Mirallas is a bit more composed than Lukaku - and with a better touch.

There is a serious amount of attacking talent already in the team that was misused by Martinez. If Koeman can get Lukaku (if he stays) Mirallas Barkley and Deulofeu all in top form and firing that is as potent a line up as anyone.

True, but we need a second, proven, goalscorer in the squad too. We need two players who can guarantee comfortably over 10 league goals a season. We know Lukaku will get close to 20, but can we get another striker in who'll get 15 plus?

Barkley (1 in 6 roughly) doesn't score as many as he should, and the same can be said for everybody else you mentioned too. Mirallas is a one-in-four player and Deulofeu will assist 5 times more than he'll score, which is fine for an out-and-out winger.

We desperately need another top striker, you saw how Lukaku went right off the boil (for whatever reasons..), and what happens if he gets injured? Can't rely on just one goalscorer.

I'll be surprised & disappointed if he's in Koeman's plans.

If we want top 4, we need top 4 players. Mirallas is a million miles from that.

There's no way we're going to have a team full of Top 4 calibre players in Koeman's first season

He's going to need a couple of windows to build the team he wants while also getting rid of the players he doesn't while also picking out those in the existing squad he thinks can get there

In a season of transition, having someone of Kev's quality as an option is a good thing to have

As a fan base, we're going to need to be patient

Really? I think most of his chances inside the box have been either on target or have tested the keeper. I can't say the same for Lukaku.
That goal he scored against Leicester away last season shows how effective he is when we press and then break. I hear he's back at Finch Farm preparing for pre season which is great news as if he's fit he's the most dynamic forward in the team.
Lukaku should be in the box anticipating. Mirallas should be the one collecting the ball from deep and running at players.
We need to keep it simple next season and actually play our wingers as opposed to Cleverley or Kone starting out wide.
