Even a small tear would mean he wouldn't be able to play on just because of the nature of the injury. When he went down though I don't know if he was just in pain (which would signal it was a bad one) or completely gutted because his game had been ended so early. Time will tell. Get well soon Kev.

Awful to see. Hope it's not too serious but it doesn't look good. Looking at around a month to 6 weeks I think!?

Shame as well cause we were nearing a full squad with Kone, Oviedo, Seamus, Pienaar and Ross all back or nearly back...

For me I'd get Eto'o on there somewhere.

Maybe change the formation now:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines
Barry
Oviedo/Pienaar McCarthy
Naismith
Lukaku Eto'o

OR:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines
McCarthy Besic Barry
Naismith
Eto'o Lukaku

I don't think we have the right players to play 4-2-3-1 at the moment as without Kev we don't have any real good wingers.

And with Eto'o sitting on the bench I'd change it. We've to Seamus and Baines that give us width.

Agree. In the current situation I´d line up this against Krasnodar:

Howard

Coleman/Browning Jags Stones Oviedo (Give Baines a rest ahead of Man U)

Besic

McGeady McCarthy

Naismith

Lukaku Eto´o

He will undergo a scan today, but doctors are pretty sure he will be out for a while - according to Kristof Terreur.

I think he won't come back until christmas.

It's annoying that even though he hasn't been injured that much since being here, the few times he has it's always been the hamstrings. The same injury reoccurring isn't good IMO.

Well clearly kev was and is a big part of our game plan most weeks, even when rested its with an eye on the damage he can do the following week!

Shame, sacrificing the cup and to a certain extent the palace game for it all to be a wasted exercise after 30 mins is a big blow.

All the big boys do it with there players so can't really expect RM to be any different but it makes you wonder about resting players in advance for certain upcoming games. I'm not saying they shouldn't be rested but maybe as and when, as apposed to trying to plan too much.

I genuinely had no problem with what happened. Can't plan or legislate for that really. You want your best players fit for the derby so he did what he could to ensure that.

Belgian media reporting he'll be out for 4-6 weeks. If that's the case then it's not so bad, we'll get him back before Christmas most likely just when we'll really be needing numbers.

When I saw him pull up like that on Saturday I genuinely thought "Oh Christ here we go, another Deulofeu. That's him gone until February now."
