Kevin Mirallas

Think losing Mirallas will be a massive, MASSIVE blow for us. Haven't been impressed with what I've seen from Atsu so far and Pienaar, well I just think he's not the player he used to be and coming back from injury won't be fit for a while. Get better ASAP Kev

A grade 3 tear can take several months to heal, Jesus I hope it's just a grade 2 at most, will certainly be atleast grade 2 imo we have seen kev have grade 1's before and he hobbles off without much of a problem but the pain in his face and the need for a stretcher is very worrying del needed a stretcher and he was out for those 8 weeks last season

Very worried about that, I think Mirallas would have played through just about anything in a derby, so I'm sure it was serious.

...Hammys finished my own playing days so I know a bit about them. Once they start they tend to come along with increasing regularity because of the scar tissue in he muscle. Usually affects pacey types and often linked to the lumber region. Just hope our medical and training staff are doing all they can from a preventative perspective - bespoke stretching and massage is vital to keep it under control.

You never play full a hammy injury of any type though. Even a little twinge you really should stop playing immediately - because an injury that would maybe keep you out for a week or two max would then turn into 6/7 weeks out.

Perfect example is Barton and Mutch been rushed back to the QPR team last week, and now face 4 weeks out (or Barton does). Gutted for Kev because he's our best attacking player atm. He was the only one getting us up the pitch yesterday - McGeady just doesn't have the pace to do it.

He'll be out til' christmas i think - always a risk with the cold weather but if we bring him back early he could well do it again and that will be his pace gone. Fingers crossed he'll still have that pace when he comes back!

Time for Oviedo to and the likes to step up - and for Bobby to move for an attacking mid in Jan. One more injury and we're looking really short. Barks coming back will be huge but he's still got to get up to the speed of the game around November.

We don't need to play with wingers we could go

Naismith Lukaku
Barkley
Barry McCarthy
Besic

And play a diamond. It would make us harder to beat too. At the time I thought "bugger there goes top 4" but in the cold light of day we have players to cope.

However we need Barkley back now more than ever.
