not a chance we will get him. if any half decent team with money wants him he will go there

Getting sick to the back teeth of people who are supposed to be our own fans saying **** like "any half decent team" like we're ****ing Rotherham or something.

As for the money part, that could be said of ANY player we sign.

This may have some truth... He is in our prices range and he has versatility and Moyes loves a bit of versatility.... Also with our limited resources when you buy players from English clubs don't you have to pay 50% of the fee upfront while its negotiable with continental clubs. correct me if I'm wrong...

I think with this one, there's a release clause in his contract, which would have to be triggered with the full amount up front.

Generally, all English purchases now have to be settled (barring add ons) within 12 months, on the continent, the fee can still be paid over the players contract length.

Not Rotherham, Sunderland and Stoke though through the eyes of a foreign player.

People's pesimism is outstripping even the grimness of our reality. Moyes has an eye for buying players if not always for playing them. We've bought much better young players than this lad before and very few complete misses.

Not saying that we'll get him but it's far from true that we only buy **** old players.

I mean more about our chances of getting him mate.

I'm quite happy to get my hopes up on this sort of stuff, only to be disappointed later. Hasn't that been the way for the last 25 years? I don't see why people get so annoyed about it. If he's good then I hope we sign him. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. I'm still looking forward to the coming season more than I have in years. Simply because we have a proper centre forward for the first time since big dunc.

OK if Arsenal & Bayern are really after this one we're not in the running.

On the other hand he's a top Olympiakos player who didn't make it back home in Waffleland. So clearly Everton is a MAJOR STEP UP (read Opportunity) whereas, potentially, BM or Arsenal might view him as not yet quite their standard (otherwise they would surely have stepped in before the likes of us get in). If RVP really is on his way to Old Trafford then is a £10-12M rated player who happens to be available for £6M (get out clause) really what they are looking for - I'm not so sure about that. Equally BM are not short of top players either. If he blossoms into something special with us then we'll have a couple of years to enjoy him.. which is better than nothing at all.

So is it ON or OFF? come on changy come and tell us again

Well don't ask him!

I'll have a crack though,

I don't think anyone really knows mate. Nothing is likely to be known for sure until tomorrow. He's with the Belgium squad right now. That is fact. So I really can't see anything happening today.
