If you're successful then you're all glory hunters on the bandwagon, tourists or you've sold your soul and lost your identity and other such ethereal nonsense that gets put about when the facts don't line up.

If you're losing it's condescending pats on the head and being told player x can do a job for your team but he's not good enough for the top - Interestingly we do both of these. Head pats from Arsenal last week when we get tonked again and head pats dished out everytime we sell a player to a perceived lower club or bully a club to get their top men such as Koeman and Walsh.

Anyone remember when the cringeworthy barsteward gave himself an Everton hall of Fame award alongside names like ball and Kendall?

The nerve of the bloke to first of all nominate himself and secondly put his name in the same sentence of proper evertonian greats.

He’s just an embarrassing fool who’s overseen the worst period of our history whilst continuing to pretend it’s plucky little Everton.
